Plenty of Sharks and Bass
On Saturday I had a 3/4 day trip with some great guys from the Winston Salem area. We were greated Saturday morning with gusty winds around 20 knots out of the north. Because of the rough seas offshore we decided to fish nearshore at the Lighthouse area to catch some small Bass and Sharks while the winds diminished. Here we caught a ton of throw back Black Bass and Sharks, but very few keepers. Luckly these winds slowed and the seas had laid out enough to run about 28 miles offshore. The deeper water was holding some nice Black Bass, Geniune Red Snapper, Chopper Bluefish, and plenty of Sharks. Overall I would guess that we caught well over 100 fish.
The middle to latter part of the week is promising better weather. The stable weather will have the fish hungary and feeding. If you would like to get into some of this great action get a party together and lets go fishing.
